Le Festival Polignac, originating from the “7 Chapels Festival”, was created by Prince Louis de Polignac in order to give a cultural and artistic dimension to the town of Guidel and its region.

The Polignac Festival inscribes itself in the works of the Polignac Foundations (the Forteresse Polignac Foundation and the Ker-Jean Polignac Foundation), recognized as being of public utility. Their principal mission is to support all forms of art, respecting the family’s emblematic tradition of patronage that has existed since the XVIIth century. Chairlady since 2002, Princess Constance de Polignac perpetuates the tradition of the previous festivals and has declared her ambitions ever since, giving to the event a prestigious and eclectic program that is mainly turned towards the youth.Besides welcoming the great artists of our time and the best performers, she offers to young talents the opportunity to be heard. Thus, chamber music mingles with diverse aspects of jazz, traditional music and singing. The aim is always the same: opening the Polignac Festival to a very large public and allowing the international language of music to echo in every heart. Due to its success, the event is from now on organised in several places. The castle and gardens of the Domain of Kerbastic, remaining faithful to their legendary hospitality are the prestigious hosts. Many concerts are also organised in the church of Guidel.
